Going Back To Basics

Aliens!

So here are the first 3 alien characters I've invented using a new technique of working on a photo reference created using an app called WEBCAM TOY on Chrome which let me have a lot of  fun experimenting the many options of creating cool images.

I've seen it a few days ago and thought I should share with you and post it but never found the time to do it... so... here is a very nice video reference made by Disney's animator - Bobby Pontillas.
I remember watching his wonderful work while he was still a student at AM, and loving it.

I really love the way he's thinking who is the character he needs to animate, what it feels and how it should react, giving it the body language and gestures of a little girl (and I won't be surprised to know he watched his niece or daughter to get some ideas :)

Cloudy 2 Is Almost Here!

After seeing the first one, and absolutely LOVING IT, I can't wait to see the second one which will soon be here.

It really isn't matter, I just wanted to try and change my working technique while coloring, less cartoony with line arts, and more shadows and highlights....
