I had some time off at work, thought about doodle straight into Photoshop. Eventually, this is what I got. I kinda had my grampa in mind while making it (with the Romanian mustache, the loose hair and the shirt).
I was wondering if you would mind elaborating a bit more about the process you went through?, did you create a brush in photoshop and then painted the colours, or did you use the pen tool to get the nice strokes?
Either way, it looks awesome, full of character and I can't wait to see more of these.

Actually, I've began just making rough (really really rough) sketching on a new file as a grayscale document, using a default brush to get the most basic lines for the drawing. Then I've put the strokes layer on about 40% opacity and used the pen tool (as you said) in order to get the clean vector like strokes.
I might do a short tutorial to show my work process, but since I don't consider my self to be an expert, I don't really know if there would be anyone who would like to see it.
